The fifth edition of The Aviation Law Review was recently published. Hanne Torkelsen is the chapter author of the Norwegian section.
The chapter gives an overview of the Norwegian aviation law and the relationship with EU, and international conventions in the field of aviation. As part of the European Economic Area, Norway is a part of the common EU aviation market, and as such are obliged to give equal access to Norwegian and EEA/EU air carriers. The EU legislation in the field of aviation is important inter alia through the case law from the European Court of Justice regarding passenger rights, the liberalisation of the aviation industry by setting up the “European Single Aviation Market”, and the EASAs safety regulation which also apply to Norway.
The chapter can be found on The Law Reviews’ website here.
